He spoke to ANI and said, "...All PWD drains are overflowing. They didn't get it cleaned ahead of Monsoon. This has led to waterlogging...Vinod Nagar has submerged.” Several vehicles submerged due to severe waterlogging in parts of Delhi, including the Moolchand underpass. Heavy rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning began in Delhi early on June 28. The IMD has forecasted varying intensities of rain and gusty winds in Delhi over the next 7 days. The downpour has brought the temperature further down in the city and has provided relief from scorching heat. The rainfall has also thrown normal life out of gear and has caused loss of property.
