The top 25 youngest billionaires in the world, with a combined wealth of $110 billion (about Rs 9 lakh crore), are all 33 years of age or younger, according to the Forbes Billionaires List for 2024. However, a closer look reveals that many of these fortunes were not self-made but were inherited.

Sons of the late Cyrus Mistry, Firoz and Zahan Mistry, are listed as two of the names on the Forbes Billionaires List for 2024. The brothers' combined net wealth is $9.8 billion, or more than Rs 81,631 crore ($4.9 billion apiece). The money was inherited by Zahan Mistry, 25, and Firoz Mistry, 27, from their father Cyrus Mistry, the former chairman of Tata Sons. Tragically, Cyrus Mistry passed away in a vehicle accident in 2022.

Although they live in Mumbai, Zahan and Firoz Mistry are both Irish citizens. Their inclusion in the list of the world's top 25 youngest billionaires was made possible by their inheritance of a share of the family's 18.4% interest in Tata Sons.

In December 2022, after spending over eighteen months working in various areas of the family firm, Firoz and Zahan Mistry took on executive positions within the organisation. Although Firoz Mistry, his brother, graduated from the University of Warwick, Zahan Mistry finished his education at Yale University.

The foundation of the family's legacy was laid by their grandpa, Pallonji Mistry. The chairman of the family's building conglomerate, the Shapoorji Pallonji Group, which is headquartered in Mumbai, is their uncle, Shapoor Mistry.

Livia Voigt of Brazil is the youngest billionaire in the world, according to Forbes' most recent World's Billionaires list. Livia Voigt owns a small share of WEG, a manufacturer of electrical equipment. An estimate of the 19-year-old's net worth is $1.1 billion.
