Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD is having its dream run at the box office. The film is being praised by the audience as well as the critics. However, recently, Mahabharat's Bhishma aka Mukesh Khanna shared his views on the film and slammed the makers for trying to change the mythology.

On Tuesday, Mukesh Khanna took to his YouTube channel and shared his review of Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukone's Kalki 2898 AD. The actor stated some positive as well as negative points. He criticised the 'boring' first half of the film and slammed the makers for trying to change mythology. He said, "One thing that is bothering me is that they have tried to change the mythology in the film. In the beginning, you see Lord Krishna come, and take the gem from Ashwathama's forehead, telling him that he will be my saviour in the future, Lord Krishna never said this."

He further said, "I want to ask the makers why are you adding stuff on your own that is not even a part of our mythology. The gem from Ashwatthama's forehead was taken out by Pandavas Arjun and Bhima and given to their wife Draupadi. The reason for this was that he had entered the camp of Pandavas in the dark of night and killed Draupadi's five sons."

Neither did Lord Krishna tell Ashwatthama that he would be his saviour in the future, nor did he say that he would be taking birth as Kalki. I have objections on this points and every Sanatani Hindu should have an objection on this. Even in Adipurush, you made a joke of our Hindu Sacred texts and even in PK you made Shivji run. You are messing with our religion. Even in Kalki 2898 AD, the liberty that you took, show me where Krishna said that he will be taking birth as Kalki."

He further added, "Why do South films work, because they don't mess with our religion. Stop this thing. The changes you do in the film according to yourself, is just for one religion. I would like tell the government to make a committee which can look over the films that are being made on Ramayan, Gita, and other mythological topics and take control over the film's script."

One of the comments read, "You have problem in everything. This is a fiction film, watch it like that, and don't overreact. At least they have respected our Hindu religion." Another comment read, "I usually agree with your opinions, but here I disagree as Kalki 2898 AD is a masterpiece which beautifully blends Mahabharat with science fiction." Another said, "This man has a problem in everything. Some changes might be there, but it has not disrespected out gods unlike Adipurush."

Helmed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD is a sci-fi dystopian drama that stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, Kamal Haasan, and Amitabh Bachchan in key roles. The film opened to a positive response from the audience and has already collected Rs 600 crore worldwide in just a week.
