Triptii Dimri BREAKS silence on her 'overtly sexualised' image after Ranbir Kapoor's Animal: 'The aim is to play...'

There is no denying the fact that Ranbir Kapoor's Animal gave wings to Triptii Dimri's career, marking her entry into Bollywood's mainstream films. The role, though short to this date, is riddled with controversies, especially because of Triptii Dimri's 'overly sexualized' image after the film. Now, in a recent interview, the actress has addressed the backlash, stating that she has no regrets regarding her career choices. 

In an interview with Forbes India, Triptii Dimri said, "I am someone who wants to give 100 percent. If I find the character or the story interesting, I want to give my all. That’s what I’ve learned—if it works, it works, and if it doesn’t, it doesn’t. We won’t always be liked by everybody. There will be some people who like you, and some who don’t. You can’t keep all that noise in mind. You have to follow your heart and do things that you feel are right."

When asked if she is making an active effort to move away from her "overtly sexualized" image, Triptii Dimri said, "I am going with the flow. The aim is to play different characters because I don’t want to go to a set and feel bored. I want to feel challenged and wonder, ‘How will this happen?’—and then make it happen." 

Triptii Dimri's latest interview comes after rumours that she was dropped from Kartik Aaryan's Aashiqui 3 for being "too exposed." Many media reports claimed that the filmmakers replaced her because they wanted someone with a “pure demeanour" to play the role. 

Filmmaker Anurag Basu later denied these claims, telling Mid-Day, “That’s not true, and Triptii knows it too."
