Recently, Salman Khan and Arbaaz Khan recorded their statements in the superstar's house firing case. Now, in a new development, the Panvel police have filed a chargesheet detailing a plot to assassinate the Bollywood superstar by members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

According to a report in Times of India, the 350-page chargesheet was submitted to the Panvel magistrate court last week. The chargesheet detailed the planned attack similar to the assassination of singer Sidhu Moosewala on Salman Khan. This would reportedly take place either during a movie shoot or while he was leaving his Panvel farmhouse.

The chargesheet names five Bishnoi gang members including, Dhananjay Tapsingh alias Ajay Kashyap (28), Gautam Vinod Bhatia (29), Vaspi Mehmood Khan alias China (36), Rizwan Hassan alias Javed Khan (25), and Deepak Hawasingh alias John Walmiki (30), who has been charged with criminal conspiracy (IPC Section 120 B), abetment (IPC Section 115), and criminal intimidation (IPC Section 506 (2)).

The chargesheet also reportedly revealed that the accused were planning to purchase weapons from Pakistan, including AK 47, AK 92, and M-16 rifles, as well as the Turkish-made Zigana pistol used to kill Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. These weapons were intended to be used to assassinate Salman Khan. The chargesheet also reportedly revealed that the Bishnoi gang had offered a contract of Rs 25 lakh to kill Salman Khan. The report further revealed that Salman's every moment was monitored and the shooters were waiting for orders from Anmol Bishnoi and Goldy Brar.

Since the house firing case on April 14, Salman's security level has been elevated to Y-Plus after threats from gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar. The actor was also authorised to carry a personal firearm and has also acquired a new armoured vehicle for added protection.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan will be next seen in the movie Sikandar. Helmed by AR Murugadoss, the film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Suniel Shetty and Sathyaraj and is scheduled to release in cinemas on Eid 2025.
