Juhi Chawla reveals how Shah Rukh Khan picked up his iconic line K-K-Kiran in Darr: ‘He once revealed…’

Yash Chopra's Darr featured Shah Rukh Khan in a negative role which was a break from the typical romantic hero roles he had been playing at that time. The dialogue ‘I love you K-K-K-Kiran’ became iconic. However, do you know who inspired this dialogue? Well, SRK's Darr co-star Juhi Chawla has revealed it all. 

While speaking at the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry event, Juhi Chawla revealed that the iconic dialogue where the actor had to stammer each time he said ‘Kiran’, was inspired from Yash Chopra’s own struggle with speech. “Maine yeh notice nahin kiya tha but  Shah Rukh was observant. Yash ji thoda haklate the aur Shah Rukh ne bataya ki unhone woh wahan se pick kiya tha (Shah Rukh once revealed that he picked up K-K-K-Kiran from Yash Chopra who used to stammer a little. He said, ‘I am going to use it in the film’ and wahan se unhone woh shuru kiya and thank God for that!"

Apart from Darr, Juhi Chawla has also shared the screen space with Shah Rukh Khan in numerous films including  Yes Boss, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, Duplicate, etc. The duo not only shared a perfect on-screen chemistry but are also close friends in real life and co-owners of IPL 2024 winning team Kolkata Knight Riders. 

Meanwhile, after the massive success of Dunki, Jawan, and Pathaan in 2023, Shah Rukh Khan is now working on his next film titled King. The film will see the superstar sharing the screen with his daughter Suhana Khan for the very first time. Suhana made her debut with The Archies which received mixed to negative reviews from the audience, however, it will be interesting to see if she can shine with her father in the upcoming movie. Helmed by Sujoy Ghosh, the film is said to be an action-packed thriller produced by Red Chillies Entertainment.
