Bigg Boss 18 winner Karan Veer Mehra to fund education of his staff's children with Rs 50 lakh prize money

Karan Veer Mehra won the controversial reality show Bigg Boss 18 on Sunday as he defeated Vivian Dsena, Rajat Dalal, Avinash Mishra, Chum Darang, and Eisha Singh in the Grand Finale. The popular TV actor is being hailed among the most deserving winners of in the show's history, along with the likes of Sidharth Shukla, Munawar Faruqui, Tejasswi Prakash, and Prince Narula.

Along with winning the coveted Bigg Boss 18 trophy, Karan Veer also took home the whopping cash prize of Rs 50 lakh. In an interview with Mid-Day, when he was asked what does he plans to do with his prize money, Karan Veer said, " I plan to fund the education of my staff’s children. This is something I’ve been considering for a while. I’m already doing it to an extent, but some of them wish to study further, so I plan to sponsor that for them."

Karan Veer maintained strong relationships with Shilpa Shirodkar and Chum Darang in the Bigg Boss 18 house. On being asked if he will continue his bond with both of them after the show, Karan replied, "After a few days in the house, it’s as if the cameras don’t exist. We completely forgot about them. Luckily, no phones were allowed, so we connected on a human level. Now that we’re out, with phones and other distractions, I don’t know how we’ll manage. But the bond we’ve built over 100 days will surely last. Even in the final moments, I celebrated with them before going to my sister, who had come to support me. They were as excited and happy as I was when I lifted the trophy."

While many thought that Vivian might win due to his immense popularity or Rajat might win due to his strong fan base among the YouTubers, Karan Veer's win came as a pleasant surprise for the audiences. Vivian hadn't contributed much in the show and Rajat has failed to make any relationships in the house.
