RCB star bowler Yash Dayal gets BIG relief in sexual exploitation case, Allahabad HC orders...

The Allahabad High Court on Tuesday stayed the arrest of cricketer Yash Dayal in connection with an FIR against him for allegedly sexually exploiting a woman.

The court also directed that no coercive action be taken against Dayal, who plays for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), till the next hearing, his counsel Gaurav Tripathi told PTI.

A division bench comprising Justices Siddhartha Varma and Anil Kumar passed the order on Dayal's petition challenging the FIR.

After an FIR was filed against Yash, he moved to the Allahabad HC seeking a stay on his arrest.

What did the court say?

“You could have been fooled for 1 day, 2 day, 3 day…but 5 years…you are entering into a relationship for 5 years…one can’t be fooled for 5 years," the bench told the woman, granting a stay on Yash’s arrest.

What Yash Dayal said in his FIR?

Yash is facing allegations of exploiting a woman on the promise of marriage. The complainant states they met around five years ago, and he allegedly assured her of marriage.

The woman alleges that Yash repeatedly postponed their marriage plans, and she later found out about his relationships with other women.

Gopal Swaroop Chaturvedi, along with Gaurav Tripathi and Raghuvansh Mishra, is representing Yash in this matter.

The RCB pacer has also lodged a complaint with the Prayagraj police, requesting that an FIR be filed against the woman.

The 27-year-old has requested the Khuldabad police station to file a case against the woman. As reported by NDTV, he accuses her of stealing an iPhone and a laptop. Yash informed the Prayagraj police that he first met her on Instagram four years ago.

Yash alleges that the woman borrowed a significant sum of money from him, citing medical treatment for herself and her family, with a promise to repay, which has not been fulfilled.

What has the woman alleged?

The woman, in her FIR, has alleged that Yash Dayal had physical relations with her by falsely promising marriage.

“He repeatedly made physical relations with me by falsely promising marriage and introduced me to his family, who assured that I would be their daughter-in-law. I maintained the relationship with complete honesty and dedication,” the woman alleged.
