1.Dheeraj Kumar passes away

Veteran actor, producer and director Dheeraj Kumar passed away on Tuesday, 15th July 2025, around noon, surrounded by family. He was battling acute pneumonia. He was admitted to Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital for severe breathing issues and was on ventilator support, and eventually succumbed to a cardiac arrest.

Dheeraj began his journey as a hero in the 1970 film 'Raaton Ka Raja' and went on to become a pioneer in television with the iconic show 'Om Namah Shivay,' which touched millions of hearts.

Across a remarkable career spanning nearly five decades in Bollywood and he dominated the Punjabi film industry from 70s to 80s. He not only lit up the screen but also uplifted countless lives behind it. Dheeraj treated everyone with equal warmth and respect, regardless of stature, offering a smile, a kind word, or help whenever needed.

He was always present for his family, friends, and the industry at large. A true gentleman, he was a father figure, friend, and guide to many. He will be remembered not just as an actor but as a mentor, a gentle soul, and a true gentleman.

 

5.Dheeraj Kumar's funeral

His funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 11 am at the Pawan Hans crematorium ground in Vile Parle West, Mumbai. His mortal remains will be taken to his residence in the Sky Deck Building, SAB TV Lane, near Shabri Hotel, Andheri West, at 6 am tomorrow for "Antim Darshan" (final respects) until 10 am, according to reports.
