'My mother instigated me against in-laws': Nikita Singhania's shocking revelation in Atul Subhash case

After Bengaluru AI engineer Atul Subhash died by suicide, several aspects of the case have been unfolded by the statements given by the deceased and his estranged wife Nikita Singhania at a family court in Uttar Pradesh's Jaunpur. 

Notably, the couple's divorce proceedings were going on at the Jaunpur family court.  

As per a report by Amar Ujala, Nikita Singhania told the court that her marriage with Atul Subhash was forced upon her by her parents. Singhania further revealed that her father had been suffering from a cardiac issue for the past 10 years and undergoing treatment at AIIMS.

She further claimed that she was forced to get married to Subhash under the pressure of her father's illness and that she was "harassed" in her in-laws' house, the report said. Singhania went on to claim that her mother, Nisha Singhania, used to call her 5-6 times a day and instigate her against her in-laws. 

Atul and Nikita tied the knot on June 26, 2019 at Hindustan International Hotel in Varanasi. After the maariage, the couple went to Mauritius for their honeymoon, the expenses of which were borne by Atul. 

Atul Subhash, 34, died by suicide in Bengaluru, earlier this month. Before this, he posted a video alleging harassment and extortion against his wife Nikita and her family. Moreover, he also left behind a 24-page suicide note, providing details about the events that prompted him to take the extreme step. 

Nikita Singhania, her mother Nisha Singhania and brother Anurag Singhania are currently under the police custody and a probe is underway into the matter.
