For many days, there have been viral videos of Wamiqa Gabbi narrating the uncanny similarities she has with Aishwarya Rai. Now a post from OTT giant about the same has sparked online debate.

For the past few weeks, the internet has been buzzing with videos of Wamiqa Gabbi being compared to Aishwarya Rai. Wamiqa's videos from the paparazzi have started the debate. The Nikka Zaildar 2 actress' eyes are highlighted for being similar to the Taal actress.
Now OTT giant Prime Video have jumped into the trend, and it started a whole new debate about Wamiqa Gabbi being similar to Aishwarya Rai. Prime Video on their X (formerly Twitter) shared a tweet with two photos, Aishwarya on the left and Wamiqa on the right. The OTT platform shared the tweet with the caption, "Yeah we see it too,” with heart eyes and heart emojis.

As soon as the handle tweeted, it got mixed reactions. Several fans of Jodhaa Akbar actress felt offended and snubbed the similarities. A netizen wrote, "Aish is Aish." Another netizen defended Wamiqa and wrote, "She is a far better actress than Rai." One of the netizens wrote, "Hell no, and her repeated paid pr won't make it true either! But this post does confirm her upcoming work with Prime!"
On the work front, Aishwarya Rai was last seen in Mani Ratnam's epic series, Ponniyin Selvan Part I and Part II. Whereas, Wamiqa was recently seen in Baby John with Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh. Wamiqa got an appreciation for her role in Baby John, but the movie is not performing as per the expectations. Baby John is the official adaptation of Thalapathy Vijay's Theri (2016), and it is produced by Atlee.
Wamiqa has earlier impressed the cinephiles with her performance in a digital format with shows like Jubilee, Grahan, Charlie Chopra & the Mystery of Solang Valley, and Mai. She also impressed the masses with the movie Khufiya, which was released on Netflix. She will next be seen in Dil Ka Darwaaza Khol Na Darling in Hindi, Kikli in Punjabi, and Genie in Tamil.
