Shatrughan Sinha reacts to sons not attending Sonakshi Sinha-Zaheer Iqbal's wedding: 'Bacho ko cultural shock laga..'
Shatrughan Sinha admitted that his sons, Luv Sinha and Kush Sinha had a cultural shock after Sonakshi Sinha married Zaheer Iqbal. The veteran actor further added that he understood his sons' thinking and empathised with them.

Veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha's daughter, Sonakshi Sinha got married to Zaheer Iqbal on June 23, 2024, and their intimate wedding ceremony was celebrated by their families. However, Sonakshi's brothers, Luv Sinha and Kush Sinha did not attend the wedding. Finally, Shatrughan broke his silence on the absence of his sons from the Dabangg actress' special day.
While speaking to Lehren Retro, at first he refused to comment on whether he was affected by the absence of his sons' support in this decision. But later he said, "Uss mein main koi shikayat nahi karta hoon. Woh bhi ek reaction hota hai. Woh bhi insaan hai. Bacho ko cultural shock laga hai. Abhi shayad unke andar itni maturity nahi hogi, jin logon ne aisa kaha hoga (I have no complaint in that. That is also a reaction. Children have suffered a cultural shock. Perhaps they do not have the maturity to understand those who said such things)." Sr Sinha further added, "Main unke bhi dard ko, confusion ko, pareshani ko samaj sakta hu. Ho sakta hai ki agar main USS age mein rehta, toh shayad mere sochne ka tarika kuch aur hota (I can understand their pain, confusion and troubles. Maybe if I was their age, my way of thinking would have been different)."

After a long wait of 7 years, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal finally tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in a civil marriage on June 23. However, their inter-faith marriage faced a lot of criticism. The actress has now finally reacted to the same.
Sonakshi Sinha has now addressed the trolls who have been criticising her inter-faith marriage on social media. The actress re-shared a post on her Instagram story that has Sonakshi and Zaheer's caricatures and talked about love being “the universal religion”. Sonakshi also dropped a comment on the post shared by Prasad Bhat, and wrote, “Truest words!! This is adorable! Thank you.”
