Ryan Routh, Trump's alleged shooter, wishes to become Hamas hostage in SHOCKING letter: 'Will you go with me to Gaza...'

Ryan Routh, who is accused of attempting to assassinate US President-elect Donald Trump, has made unexpected claims in a jailhouse letter obtained by the New York Post. In the two-page letter, Routh offered to become a Hamas hostage in exchange for saving lives.

“Will you go with me to Gaza and surrender to Hamas in exchange for a hostage life, please?” Routh wrote. He said he wanted to stop the killing of innocent families and restart peace talks.

Routh also revealed emotional reflections in the letter, citing the life of Alexander Hamilton and comparing himself to George Bailey from the film It’s a Wonderful Life. He expressed a longing for a world filled with kindness and selflessness. “I feel as George Bailey, wondering if there is support and value in honour, dignity, righteousness, and sacrifice,” he wrote.

His letter also voiced support for university students advocating for Gaza and criticized US leaders for removing their solidarity tents. Routh’s daughter, Sara Routh, confirmed the letter's authenticity and said she is promoting his hostage swap idea through a social media campaign.

Despite his claims of “unlimited time and funds” to assist with hostage exchanges, Routh remains in a federal prison in Miami awaiting trial. 

He was arrested on September 15 near Trump International Golf Club in Florida, where he was found with a rifle and scope, allegedly within 450 meters of Trump
