The winner’s husband expressed his initial doubts upon hearing the news of the win. “My wife showed me, but it didn’t seem real,” he stated. Reflecting on their good fortune, he remarked, “But when the Midas touch comes, hopefully, you’re on it, and thankfully we were.”
A resident of Prince George’s County, Maryland, recently won an impressive $50,000 (around ₹42.96 lakh) in a Pick 5 lottery draw. What adds to the intrigue of her victory is her statement that the winning numbers appeared to her in a dream, which inspired her to buy the ticket.
The fortunate winner informed Maryland Lottery officials that she had a vivid dream in December featuring a specific sequence of numbers that resonated with her. Following this unusual intuition, she bought a Pick 5 ticket from the Oxon Hill Zip In Mart, using the numbers 9-9-0-0-0.
Reflecting on the experience, she revealed that she nearly missed the chance to play. “We were running late, and I almost forgot to play,” she recounted. “But I knew we just had to play those numbers from my dream.” Her choice proved successful when those numbers won her a $50,000 prize during the evening draw on December 20.
The winner’s husband expressed his initial doubts upon hearing the news of the win. “My wife showed me, but it didn’t seem real,” he stated. Reflecting on their good fortune, he remarked, “But when the Midas touch comes, hopefully, you’re on it, and thankfully we were.”
As the couple considers how to utilize their newfound wealth, the husband mentioned a thoughtful gesture. “Whatever she wants,” he said, noting that they had already treated their grandchildren to a particularly special Christmas.
This dream-inspired victory is not the only recent instance of remarkable lottery luck. In November, Balasubramanian Chithambaram, an Indian-origin resident of Singapore, became an instant millionaire after winning a grand prize of $1 million (approximately ₹8.45 crore) in a lucky draw. His fortunate turn of events came after he purchased a gold chain for his wife three months prior at Mustafa Jewellery, the store hosting the contest.
The store later announced the thrilling news on social media, leaving Chithambaram both thrilled and amazed by his unexpected fortune.
