1.Who is IAS Ruchi Bindal?
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination is one of the toughest exams in India, and clearing it requires a strong will, relentless hard work, and determination. Ruchi Bindal, a 2020-batch IAS officer, is a shining example of these qualities. She secured the 39th rank in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2019, proving that with persistence and the right strategy, one can achieve their goals.
2.Early life and education
Ruchi Bindal's educational background is impressive. She completed her schooling from Sophia Senior Secondary School in Ajmer and later pursued a degree in Economics and Psychology from Lady Shri Ram College (LSR), Delhi University. She then did her postgraduate degree in Conflict Analysis and Peace Building from Jamia Millia Islamia.
3.Family background
Ruchi hails from a modest family. Her father is a businessman, and her mother is a homemaker. Despite not having a background in the civil services, Ruchi's family supported her aspirations. Her journey is a testament to the fact that with hard work and determination, anyone can achieve their dreams, regardless of their background.
4.IAS Ruchi Bindal's UPSC journey
Ruchi's journey to becoming an IAS officer was not straightforward. She faced significant challenges in her initial attempts, failing to clear the prelims in the first three attempts. In her fourth attempt, although she cleared both the prelims and mains, she did not succeed in the interview round. However, she did not give up. In her fifth attempt, Ruchi changed her strategy and worked tirelessly towards her goal, eventually securing the 39th rank in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2019.
5.What IAS Ruchi is currently doing?
Ruchi Bindal is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Haveri, Karnataka. Before this, she held positions such as Taluka Development Officer in Viramgam, Gujarat, and Supernumerary Assistant Collector in Ahmedabad. Her dedication and commitment to public service have been evident in her work, making her a respected figure in her cadre.
