IAS Tina Dabi and Athar Amir of 2016 batch get promoted, know about their current posting

The Bhajanlal government in Rajasthan has started the new year by announcing promotions for several IAS officers, a move welcomed as a boost to their careers. Among those promoted are IAS officers Tina Dabi and Athar Amir Ul Shafi Khan, who received proforma promotions from the 2016 batch. They have been elevated from the senior pay scale to the junior administrative pay scale.

Tina Dabi, known for securing the top rank in the 2015 UPSC Civil Services Examination, has had a celebrated journey in public administration. She has been recognized for her dedication to governance, especially in roles focusing on women’s empowerment and rural development. Athar Amir Ul Shafi Khan, her batchmate and former spouse, also garnered attention for his achievements, coming in second in the same exam. He has served in various capacities, bringing impactful changes to the regions he has worked in.

Tina Dabi's sister, Riya Dabi, a 2021 batch IAS officer, has also received a promotion. She has moved up from the junior pay scale to the senior pay scale. Like her elder sister, Riya earned recognition early in her career for her diligence and promise as a civil servant.

Additionally, two senior IAS officers from the 1995 batch, Praveen Gupta and Bhaskar A. Sawant, have been promoted to Additional Chief Secretary. Both officers have had long and illustrious careers and contributed significantly to Rajasthan’s administrative framework.

The Rajasthan Personnel Department has formally issued the orders, marking a positive start to 2025 for these officers. These promotions are expected to enhance their capacity to take on more challenging roles and responsibilities in the state administration.
