Amid these personal changes, rumors have surfaced about her marriage to Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami. However, Sania's father, Imran Mirza, has denied these speculations.

Interestingly, there was a time when reports suggested that Sania and Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor were romantically involved, though their relationship did not last long.

According to Orissa Post, Shahid met Sania at a mutual friend's party in 2009. Shahid, who had recently broken up with Kareena Kapoor, found comfort in Sania. The two were frequently seen together, and Shahid even arranged the outdoor shoot of his film 'Kaminey' in Hyderabad to spend more time with her.

Their relationship reportedly ended due to Shahid's possessiveness and the involvement of a Telugu actor.

When Sania appeared on Karan Johar's show 'Koffee With Karan', she was asked about the dating rumours with Shahid. She responded, "I can't remember, it was so long ago. It never happened as I travel so much."

During a segment on the show, when asked whom she would kill, marry, or hook up with among Shahid, Ranbir Kapoor, and Ranveer Singh, she chose to marry Ranbir, hook up with Ranveer, and kill Shahid.

Sania did not invite Shahid Kapoor to her wedding with Shoaib Malik. Shahid is now married to Mira Rajput, and they have two children, Misha and Zain.
