Shark Tank India 4's Vineeta Singh calls pitcher's sales figures fake, latter hits back: 'Shark Tank was unfair'

Shark Tank India season 4 judge Vineeta Singh recently came under the scanner again after she questioned the pitcher’s authenticity after learning about their tremendous reach and humongous sales figures. In the latest, the pitchers, Personal Touch Skincare have called out the sharks for being ‘unfair’.

Taking to their Instagram handle, the pitchers urged their clientele to start a hashtag trend and post testimonials to prove their genuineness to the judges of Shark Tank India Season 4. Sharing a video, the duo says, “It was a dream for us to go on Shark Tank India, and we went there. If we had gotten a deal, it would have been nice. Not getting one did not affect us so much, but what was hurtful was the way the sharks treated us and how they kept saying that our community was not real. They kept raising questions about our authenticity.” Harsh added that it was hurtful that their PT family was called fake. Entrepreneurs Ashish and Aditi Jawa in the recent episode sought an investment of Rs 1.2 crore in exchange for 1% equity for their brand Personal Touch skincare. However, they failed to secure a deal. Investor Vineeta was sceptical of their impressive Instagram reach, questioning whether it was organic or artificially inflated. She also expressed doubts about the accuracy of their sales figures, even going so far as to verify their data on Shopify. She remarked, "I'm having trouble giving you credit," adding, "daal mein kuch kaala hai.”

Aman Gupta, Kunal Bahl, Azhar Iqubal, and Ritesh Agarwal joined Vineeta on the show. Aditi and Ashish Jawa, the business owners, valued their company at Rs 120 crore. Without reaching an agreement, the pitchers departed. Now, unhappy Ashish and Aditi have taken to social media to express their disappointment, alleging that the sharks were unfair and biased during the filming.
