Bigg Boss OTT makers issue official statement after Armaan-Kritika's 'intimate video' from show goes viral: 'Serious...'

Bigg Boss OTT Season 3 has been making headlines and is a major topic of discussion since it began.  Armaan Malik, Kritika Malik, and Payal Malik also entered the show and grabbed everyone's attention.

However, Armaan and Kritika found themselves in the middle of controversies after a video emerged online showing intimate moments between the couple. Now Jio Cinema has issued an official statement and said, "JioCinema adheres to strict programming standards and guidelines to ensure quality and appropriateness of any content that streams on our platform. Bigg Boss OTT which was streamed on JioCinema did not have any such content. The video clip in circulation is doctored to include obscenity and is fake. We are committed to protecting the integrity of JioCinema and the trust our viewers place in us. The creation and circulation of this fake clip is a matter of very serious concern."

The spokesperson added, "Our teams are working towards identifying the origins of this clip and will initiate action against those responsible for creating and distributing such defamatory content against Bigg Boss OTT and JioCinema." 

On Monday, Shiv Sena leader Manisha Kayande criticised the couple, the Bigg Boss makers for showing 'vulgar' content. She met Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar to discuss her concerns. She pointed out that an episode aired on July 18 showed contestant Armaan Malik and his second wife, Kritika Malik, appearing to share an intimate moment under the blanket.

Manisha said, "The couple trampled upon all boundaries of human relations and social norms. Even kids watch the show and it impacts them. The show should be stopped and a case be filed under cybercrime laws against the show producers and CEO of the company that airs it. Bigg Boss is no more a family show. Armaan Malik and Kritika Malik crossed all the limits."

Manisha insisted on an immediate halt to the show and urged for severe measures against the producers of Bigg Boss OTT 3 and the broadcasting company's CEO. She appealed to the Police Commissioner to investigate the episode's viral spread on social media platforms and to pursue legal action against all responsible parties under applicable IPC sections.

She further said that she plans to meet with the Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting to suggest putting OTT content under censorship rules. Armaan Malik made news by appearing on the show with his two wives, Payal Malik and Kritika Malik. People criticized him heavily for promoting polygamy on national TV.
