Bigg Boss 18 second runner-up Rajat Dalal reacts to claims of Elvish Yadav behind his defeat, 'Will have a clear...'

The eighteenth season of Bigg Boss concluded on Sunday (January 19, 2025) with Karan Veer Mehra crowned the winner, while Vivian Dsena and Rajat Dalal stood as runner-ups. Dalal, the social media influencer and national-level weightlifter, found support from former Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav, however, it didn’t culminate in his win. Recently, Dalal broke the silence to the ongoing speculations that Yadav is the reason behind his eviction from the show.

For the uninitiated, popular YouTuber Elvish Yadav entered the house to extend his support to Dalal in one of the episodes. However, things took a dramatic turn when Yadav clashed with journalists during a media interaction session. Accusing them of being 'paid media', Yadav alleged that they were unfairly targeting him while favouring other contestants, including Karan and Chum Darang.

After the Bigg Boss 18 finale, Dalal was asked by a journalist if Elvish Yadav was the reason he didn’t win the show as the latter's scuffle with the media may have got him negative publicity. Dalal quickly quashed the assumption and said, “I was inside the Bigg Boss house. I will have a clear picture of things now that I have come out. Aapko agar kuch bhi lagta hai toh lagta rahe, main kuch nahi kar sakta usme. He further clarified that the YouTuber is his brother first, and the Bigg Boss 18 trophy comes later. 

“Elvish mera bhai hai, jeevan bhar bhai hi rahega. Ek trophy bhai se upar toh hai nahi. Mujhe pata hai na mera bhaichaara kaisa hai. Aapke kehne se jo humari yaadein hai, humara rishta hai, uspe thodi na koi farak padega (Elvish is my brother and will remain my brother for life. A trophy is not above our bond. I know what kind of brotherhood we share. What you say cannot change the memories we have or the relationship we share)." he added.

Meanwhile, Bigg Boss 18 winner Karan Veer Mehra lifted the trophy and took home a Rs 50 lakh cash prize. Rajat Dalal's journey came to a shocking end as he was evicted from the show, finishing third. The unexpected elimination left not only Dalal but also his fellow ex-housemates and fans stunned. Taking to social media, Rajat's supporters expressed their disappointment and outrage, with many even labelling the show as 'fixed'.
