Vivo expected to launch V50, Y19e in India soon; smartphones spotted on BIS website

The Vivo V50 and Vivo Y19e are gearing up for their launch in India, as indicated by their recent appearance on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification website. The BIS listing typically signals that a product has passed regulatory checks and is nearing its release in the market, building excitement among smartphone enthusiasts.  

Though specific details about the devices are yet to be revealed, the certification hints that Vivo is planning to expand its smartphone market in India with these new models. Vivo's V-series in India is often similar to the S-series in China, but with minor adjustments. If this pattern continues, the Vivo V50 series might be a rebranded version of the Vivo S20 lineup, which debuted in China in November 2024. This series has been popular for offering a blend of performance, stylish design, and competitive features, making the anticipated V50 an exciting addition to the lineup.  

The Y-series, on the other hand, has traditionally focused on delivering value-for-money smartphones with reliable performance and decent specifications. This suggests that the Y19e will likely cater to budget-conscious buyers while at the same time, maintaining Vivo’s standard for quality and innovation.  

While the BIS listing does not provide detailed specifications, Vivo’s upcoming models are expected to include modern features that align with current market trends, such as improved camera setups, larger batteries, and powerful processors to enhance user experience. The Chinese version of the Vivo S20 carries a 6,500mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging, and the same is expected to be replicated in the V50. 

Talking about the pricing, the Vivo V50 is likely to be a mid-range or premium smartphone with a focus on design, performance, and photography, while the Vivo Y19e might cater to the budget segment with reliable, value-for-money features.
