Flipkart today announced its first sale of the year, following Amazon's announcement of the Great Republic Day sale. The e-commerce giant has launched a sale banner and a dedicated microsite that provides details on the sale dates, expected deals, and additional discounts, including bank offers.

The e-commerce announced that its sale will officially begin for all customers on January 14. However, those who are premium members will have early access starting January 13.

A key feature of the sale is a five percent cashback on purchases made with Flipkart Axis Bank cards. Customers can look forward to significant discounts on popular items including smartphones, laptops, televisions, tablets, smart accessories, home appliances, and clothing.

Meanwhile, Flipkart’s Republic Day event will get a strong competition from Amazon’s Great Republic Day Sale 2025, which is set to start on January 13. Amazon Prime members will benefit from early access beginning on January 12, giving them an advantage.
