Throughout the Kho Kho World Championship, the Indian women's team dominated their opponents and won the championship without losing a single match.
The Indian women's team made history by clinching the first-ever Kho Kho World Cup, defeating Nepal in an exciting match at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday, January 19.
Led by Priyanka Ingle, the Indian team achieved a convincing 78-40 victory over Nepal in the final. The hosts demonstrated their strength in both offense and defense, proving too tough for their rivals.
Taking an impressive early lead of 34-0 by the end of the first turn, the Women in Blue set the stage for the match. Although Nepal managed to narrow the score to 35-24 by the end of the second turn, the Indian team surged ahead in the third turn, adding another 38 points to their tally.
With a commanding 49-point lead, Nepal found it difficult to keep pace in the final turn, scoring only 16 points against the relentless Indian defense. The hosts celebrated their victory with a final score of 78-40, securing the championship title.

Throughout the tournament, the Indian women's team remained unbeaten, showcasing their superiority over their opponents. They topped Group A with three straight wins, starting their campaign with an impressive 157-point victory over South Korea, followed by an 84-point win against Iran and an 80-point win against Malaysia.
In the semifinals, India faced South Africa and continued their winning streak with a dominant 66-16 victory, earning their place in the finals with an outstanding all-around performance.
Leading up to the final, Nepal had an impressive undefeated record in the tournament. They won all four of their group stage matches, defeating Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, and Germany. Nepal kept their winning streak alive in the semifinals, overpowering Uganda with a convincing 89-18 victory.
However, their remarkable run came to an end when they faced India in the final. India handed them a significant defeat, ultimately securing the first-ever Kho Kho World Cup title in the women's category.
