'Good news for everyone': Former Australian tennis star announces divorce, sets up OnlyFans account

Former Australian tennis player Arina Rodionova announced on her Instagram account on Wednesday that she and ex-Australian Football League (AFL) player Tyrone Vickery are getting a divorce. The couple, who had been married for nine years, had actually been separated for a year before choosing to share the news with the public.

“Hey guys, we have a quick announcement to make—we’re getting divorced,” Rodionova stated casually in the video.

Vickery, seated in the background with a half-eaten banana in hand, remarked, "We are in good standing with each other and wish one another the best."

The couple decided to share their news with Rodionova's Instagram followers after informing their family and friends. The announcement video concluded with a humorous moment as Rodionova extended her hand, prompting Vickery to place the banana he was holding into her hand. The pair shared a laugh, highlighting their amicable dynamic despite the divorce.

Following the announcement, Rodionova posted an Instagram Story from a plane, indicating her departure from Australia.

“Bye Australia, love you always,” she wrote, noting that she had avoided flooding her followers’ feeds with clichéd inspirational breakup quotes.

Rodionova, 35, hinted at a significant career shift in a recent video by teasing the launch of her new OnlyFans account. Her Instagram posts have also featured risqué photos, sparking speculation about this new direction in her career.

“Good news for everyone who was asking. My OnlyFans account was confirmed, so here we go. Let’s do this,” Rodionova wrote in a January 12 post. On her OnlyFans bio, she describes herself as a tennis player “but a fun one.”

Hailing from Russia, Rodionova has had a tennis career marked by notable achievements in doubles play, despite experiencing limited success in singles competition. Her most notable accomplishments include reaching the quarterfinals of the Australian Open in both women's and mixed doubles events.

In a historic moment in 2023, Rodionova became the oldest woman, at 34 years old, to break into the WTA top 100 rankings, securing the 97th spot. During her time in the top 100, she held the distinction of being the highest-ranked Australian woman. However, her singles ranking has since fallen to 184.

Recently, Rodionova participated in the Australian Open Qualifiers, where she faced a tough defeat in straight sets against Germany's Eva Lys.
