1.Skipping quality sleep
Sleep is the body’s number one recovery tool. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Sohrab says most people don’t sleep enough, scroll before bed, and wake up tired. Make sleep a non-negotiable part of your fitness plan, just like your workout routine.
2.Not drinking enough water
Hydration affects energy, mood, and performance. It helps your body recover faster and perform better. Don’t underestimate the power of proper hydration in your routine.
3.Ignoring post-workout protein
Protein is key for fat loss, muscle building, and recovery. Sohrab says you don’t need a protine right after training, but you do need quality, digestible protein to help your body rebuild and stay strong after every session.
4.Thinking rest means doing nothing
Sohrab explains that recovery is active, not passive. Lying on the couch isn’t recovery. Gentle walks, stretching, breathwork, or mobility exercises help your body heal and improve.
5.Always staying ‘On’
Being in constant hustle mode can be harmful. Sohrab warns that chronic stress can disturb sleep and lead to burnout. Include Rest days, deep breathing, and quiet time to balance your fitness journey.
