Union Budget 2024: When and where to watch FM Nirmala Sitharaman's budget speech live today

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is set to present her seventh consecutive Union Budget on July 23 (today). Ahead of the Budget presentation, the Economic Survey 2023-24 was tabled in both Houses of Parliament on Monday, giving a comprehensive review or annual report of India's economy.

The Union Budget 2024 will be presented on July 23, 2024 (Tuesday), at 11:00 am IST. 

You can watch the Budget Session of 2024-25 live on the Indian government's official site for Union Budget — indiabudget.gov.in. Moreover, many news channels will also telecast the session live on TV.

On the eve of the Budget 2024 presentation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said: “It is a matter of pride that after 60 years, a government has come to power for the third time and will present the first Budget for the third time. I have been giving guarantees to the people of the country and our mission is to bring this to the ground. This Budget is an important budget for Amrit Kaal. Today's budget will decide the direction for the next 5 years of our term. This budget will also become a strong foundation of our dream of Viksit Bharat.”

The budget speech is expected to shine a light on infrastructure development, upliftment of social welfare schemes, and the measures for economic growth. With the government's focus on boosting home-grown production through initiatives like "Make in India" and "Aatmanirbhar Bharat", it's likely that Nirmala Sitharaman will announce steps to strengthen domestic manufacturing and self reliance.
