Bengaluru power cut for six hours today due to...; Check timings and affected areas

Bangalore will face electricity troubles as Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) has scheduled a six-hour power outage on January 16, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, to facilitate crucial maintenance work at the KPTCL's 66/11KV Pottery Road station.  

Power outages will remain in various areas in Karnataka’s capital on Thursday. The maintenance work is being carried out by Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL).  

BESCOM initially announced a power outage on January 13 via their X page, but later updated the schedule, confirming the outage would take place from January 12 to 16. 

BESCOM is urging residents in affected areas to prepare for the planned outage and take necessary precautions to minimize disruptions. Although the outage may cause temporary inconvenience, the company emphasizes that the maintenance work is essential for enhancing the reliability and efficiency of the city's power supply, ultimately ensuring a stable supply to meet growing demand.
