Noida Police to offer cabs for drunk partygoers on New Year's Eve; check details

For New Year's Eve, Noida Police has announced several precautionary measures. The police implemented a series of special measures to ensure the safety of individuals consuming alcohol on December 31. The police In collaboration with bar and restaurant owners, will provide cab and auto services to transport heavily intoxicated individuals safely home, according to several media reports.

The initiative aims to reduce the risks associated with drunk driving and ensure a trouble-free celebration for the public. To maintain law and order, Noida Police has mobilized a force of 3,000 personnel, who have been deployed at strategic locations, particularly around malls, pubs, and popular nightlife hubs.

The police also carried out patrols in several places of the city including New Ashok Nagar, East Delhi, near the Delhi-Noida border, to ensure safety and maintain law and order. Drones have been deployed for enhanced surveillance.

Moreover, officers also conducted regular checks at various locations, focusing on high-risk areas, with breathalyser tests being carried out at 30 junctions across Noida. Speeding will also be under scrutiny, with traffic personnel utilizing speed guns and deploying zigzag barriers at 115 locations to manage fast-moving traffic and prevent accidents.
