Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj on Wednesday and take a holy dip at the Sangam around 11 am, his office said.
Maha Kumbh 2025, which commenced on Paush Purnima (January 13), is the world's largest spiritual and cultural gathering, attracting devotees from across the globe. It will continue until Mahashivratri on February 26, a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office said on Tuesday.
PM Modi will visit the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 on February 5 and take a dip at the Sangam and offer prayers to Maa Ganga around 11 am, it said.
In line with his commitment to promote and preserve India's spiritual and cultural heritage, Prime Minister has consistently taken proactive steps to enhance infrastructure and facilities at pilgrimage sites.
Earlier, during his visit to Prayagraj on December 13, 2024, Prime Minister inaugurated 167 development projects worth Rs 5,500 crore, improving connectivity, amenities and services for the general public.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday Bhutan's King Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuk during his visit to Prayagraj for the Mahakumbh-2025 participated in several significant spiritual activities.
The third "Amrit Snan," held during the Basant Panchami festival, saw over 12.5 million devotees participate in a holy dip at Triveni Sangam in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj. Tight security measures ensured a safe experience for all attendees, including prominent figures such as Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and celebrities like Coldplay's Chris Martin and actress Dakota Johnson.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju took a holy dip in Prayagraj's Mahakumbh Triveni Sangam on Wednesday, and urged not to do 'politics' on historic moment.
Posting a video on X, he wrote "Maha Kumbh comes once in 144 years i.e. once in many generations. No one should do politics on such a historic religious moment. I am fortunate that I took a dip in the holy Triveni Sangam. Please everyone follow the guidelines as the total number of people coming to Maha Kumbh is unprecedented and unimaginable. #Mahakumbh"

The Goa government has announced three special trains from the coastal state to Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh for devotees to travel free of cost to attend the ongoing Maha Kumbh.
The first train will leave from Margao railway station (in South Goa) at 8 am on February 6, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant told reporters on Tuesday.
The other two trains will depart from Margao on February 13 and 21, he said.
