'What year is this?': RJ Mahvash denies rumours of dating Yuzvendra Chahal

Ever since RJ Mahvash's photograph with cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal from a Christmas celebration went viral, she has found herself at the center of attention. Amid rumours around Chahal's divorce from his wife, Dhanashree Verma, this picture made social media users wonder about her bond with the cricketer. However, RJ Mahvash has come forward and broken the silence over the linkup rumours. 

On Instagram, Mahvash shared a statement on her Stories, slamming the trolls, and calling the 'baseless rumours' she says, "Some articles and speculations have been circulating around the internet. It's literally funny to see how baseless these rumours are. If you get seen with a person of the opposite gender, does that mean you are dating them? I'm sorry, what year is this? And how many people are you all dating then?"

The radio jockey continued, "I have been patient for 2-3 days now, but I won't let any PR teams drag my name into this to cover up other people's images. Let people live in peace with their friends and family during tough times."

The viral photo is dated back to Christmas 2024. RJ Mahavsh shared the carousel post with these photos of enjoying Christmas lunch, and wrote, "Christmas lunch con familiar."

Rumours of a potential separation between Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma have been circulating, sparked by the pair unfollowing each other on Instagram. Yuzvendra has also deleted all photos of Dhanashree from his account, although she still has some pictures of him on her profile. Both of them have since addressed the speculation, with Yuzvendra urging fans to refrain from spreading unverified information and Dhanashree dismissing the rumours as "baseless" and "devoid of fact". Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal tied the knot in December 2020 in an intimate ceremony in Gurugram. The two met during the pandemic when Chahal approached her for lessons.
