Pushpa 2 OTT release: Allu Arjun's blockbuster to release soon on THIS streaming platform but there's a twist

Headlined by Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil in the leading roles, Pushpa 2: The Rule set the box office on fire when it released in cinemas on December 5 last year. The action-packed drama went on to become the second highest-grossing Indian film ever after Dangal as it grossed close to Rs 1800 crore worldwide and over Rs 1200 crore net in India.

On January 17, an extended version of the film titled Pushpa 2: The Rule Reloaded hit theatres with an extra footage of 20 minutes, with the full runtime of 3 hours and 40 minutes. Now, the Allu Arjun-starrer blockbuster is ready for its streaming release and the audiences will be able to watch the extended version on the OTT giant Netflix.

Taking to its social media handles, Netflix made the announcement on Monday and wrote, "The man. The myth. The brAAnd Pushpa’s rule is about to begin. Watch Pushpa 2 - Reloaded Version with 23 minutes of extra footage on Netflix, coming soon in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam & Kannada." The film's Hindi dubbed version will not be available on Netflix.

Although the exact date of its streaming release hasn't been announced yet, the screenshots from the Netflix app suggest that Pushpa 2 might start streaming on the OTT giant from this Thursday, January 30. We will have to wait and watch which platform will stream the dubbed version of the blockbuster film.

Written and directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2: The Rule is the direct sequel of Pushpa: The Rise. The first part had grossed Rs 350 crore worldwide and became the highest-grossing Indian film of 2019. The blockbuster sequel will be followed by Pushpa 3: The Rampage, which was teased in the second part's climax.
