Pushpa 2 box office collection: Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna film inches closer to Rs 700-crore mark in Hindi

Headlined by Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, Pushpa 2: The Rule continues to rule the box offic and is now inching closer to the Rs 700-crore mark in Hindi. Just a couple of days ago, the blockbuster sequel has overtaken Stree 2 to become the highest grossing Hindi film ever at the domestic box office.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the latest box office numbers of the film's Hindi version on his X account. He wrote, "Pushpa 2 crosses the Rs 50 cr mark in Weekend 3, which is absolutely fantastic. It remains unaffected by the wave of new releases, maintaining its position as the top choice for moviegoers for the third consecutive weekend. The Christmas and NewYear holiday season is sure to give it an additional boost. Pushpa 2 (Week 3) Fri 12.50 cr, Sat 20.50 cr, Sun 27 cr. Total: Rs 692.50 cr. India biz | Hindi version | Nett BOC."

Pushpa 2: The Rule will now face competition from Varun Dhawan's action-packed drama Baby John. Also starring Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Jackie Shroff, the film is set to release in cinemas on December 25 coinciding with Christmas. Backed by Atlee, the Kalees directorial is an adaptation of Thalapathy Vijay-starrer blockbuster Theri, which was helmed by Atlee in 2016.

Talking about its worldwide gross collections, Pushpa 2: The Rule has earned over Rs 1500 crore globally. It is the highest-grossing Indian film of 2024 and the third highest-grossing Indian film of all time behind Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and Dangal. The pan-India action drama is the direct sequel of the 2019 film Pushpa: The Rise and will be followed by Pushpa 3: The Rampage.
