Naga Vamsi BREAKS SILENCE on 'disrespecting' Boney Kapoor: 'You don’t need to teach us how..'

The recent roundtable conversation sparked the debate of Bollywood vs South again. In the Bhardwaj Rangan's special segment, producers Naga Vamsi and Boney Kapoor clashed on the topic of the relevance and reach of Bollywood and South. Vamsi went on to say that 'Bollywood has forgotten making massy entertainers, and they are only catering to Bandra and Juhu audience', and this went against Lucky Baskhar producer. 

The clip from the roundtable conversation went viral, and Vamsi is getting trolled for being 'disrespectful' to Mr India's producer. Now, after facing immense social backlash, Vamsi stepped forward and clarified that he didn't try to demean Boney. Vamsi replied to Sumit Kadel's tweet, in which he slammed Vamsi's remark. Replying to his tweet, Vamsi wrote, "You don’t need to teach us how to respect elders, we respect boney ji more than u guys do and there was no disrespect towards boney ji in that conversation it was a healthy discussion."

Vamsi further revealed what happened with Boney Kapoor after the interview was over, "Me and Boney ji had a nice laugh and hugged each other after the interview… So please don't come to your conclusions with just what you saw," he wrote. 

Bollywood filmmakers at Vamsi's comment

Sanjay Gupta slammed Vamsi's comment, and he wrote on Twitter, "Who is this obnoxious guy sitting next to a senior producer like Boney Ji and deriding him with his fake vanity? Look at his body language and disgusting attitude. 4/5 hits dene se yeh Bollywood ke baap nahin bane na banienge." Sanjay launched an attack on Vamsi and went on to slam him with his blunt tweets.

Hansal Mehta also criticised Vamsi's comment, mocking Mumbaikars when Pushpa 2 earned Rs 86 crores on Sunday. On his X, Hansal shared the video and wrote, "Chill dude whoever you are… I live in Mumbai. Been sleeping really well." Even Siddharth Anand mocked Vamsi, and wrote on his X, "Mumbai has always been the city that never sleeps ;) It’s okay. I guess some people don’t know our real Mumbai! And one more thing. I have in fact lived ONLY in Bandra and Juhu! Just FYI."
