Kim Tae-Hyung, better known as V, is among the most famous South Korean singers and actors globally. He is a member of the internationally renowned group BTS, which Big Hit Entertainment manages.

V was born on December 30, 1995, in the Seo District of Daegu, South Korea, and grew up in Geochang County as the eldest of three siblings. His passion for singing started in elementary school, and with his father's support, he began learning the saxophone in middle school to pursue music more seriously. At the age of fifteen, V’s unexpected journey began when he accompanied a friend to an audition at Big Hit Entertainment, initially just to offer moral support. However, an executive noticed his potential and encouraged him to audition as well.

After getting his parents' approval on the spot, V decided to take the chance, and he soon became an official trainee. In 2013, V officially started his career with BTS, quickly gaining a large fan base and becoming one of the most beloved artists of his generation.

Before his debut, V was kept a secret from fans by his agency, which left him feeling lonely and uncertain. However, he officially debuted with BTS on June 13, 2013, on Mnet's M Countdown. V soon began contributing to the group's music, co-writing and producing songs like "Hold Me Tight" and "Fun Boyz." His talents also extended to composing his own solo track, "Stigma," for BTS' 2016 album Wings. Additionally, he collaborated with J-Hope on a cover of "Hug Me" and released an unofficial cover of Adele's "Someone Like You."

In an interview, Kim Taehyung discussed the struggles he faced in 2018. He shared how the intense demands of BTS' schedule left him feeling overwhelmed and emotionally drained. He said, "I have never said this before. It’s my first time telling this to fans through Suchwita because people don’t know why we were having such a hard time or why we were struggling so much. No one can understand."

According to The Netizen Report, Taehyung is the wealthiest member of BTS, with an estimated net worth of $40 million (Rs 300 crore).
