'We are not giving up': Team Kap's Cafe
Calling it a 'message from the heart', the statement reads, "We opened Kap’s Cafe with hopes of bringing warmth, community, and joy through delicious coffee and friendly conversation. To have violence intersect with that dream is heartbreaking. We are processing this shock, but we are not giving up. The team further acknowledged the concerns and prayers they are receiving through DMs, and emphasised to take a firm stand against the violence. "Thank you for Your Support. Your kind words, prayers, and memories shared via DM mean more than you know. This cafe exists because of your belief in what we’re building together. Let’s stand firm against violence and ensure Kap’s Cafe remains a place of warmth and community." The note ended with a positive message about meeting their customers soon. "From all of us at Kap’s Cafe, thank you and see you soon, under better skies— With hope and gratitude #supportkapscafecanada."
In another note, the team Kap's Cafe thanked the police authorities for taking timely, prompt action. "We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the @surreypolice and @deltapd for their prompt response and efforts in ensuring everyone’s safety during this difficult time."
