The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam is one of the toughest competitive exams globally, with lakhs of candidates competing for a handful of positions. Among the notable achievers of this prestigious exam are sisters Tina Dabi and Ria Dabi. Tina Dabi made headlines in 2015 by securing All India Rank (AIR) 1, while her younger sister Ria Dabi achieved AIR 15 in 2020.
Currently, IAS Ria Dabi serves as the Sub Divisional Officer and Magistrate (SDM) in Girwa, Udaipur. Married to IPS officer Manish Kumar, she recently made news for her lavish wedding reception. While her exact salary is not disclosed, the average basic pay for an SDM, according to reports, is Rs 56,100, with additional perks bringing the total significantly higher.
Apart from her salary, IAS Ria Dabi enjoys several benefits, including Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Travel Allowance (TA). IAS officers are also provided with house helpers, personal security, and other facilities. These perks ensure that officers can focus on their responsibilities, which often involve managing critical administrative tasks.
Ria Dabi completed her schooling at Convent of Jesus and Mary in New Delhi and graduated in Political Science from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University. She cleared the UPSC exam on her first attempt at the age of 23.
