Meet woman, favourite student of Drishti IAS founder Vikas Divyakirti, who cracked UPSC exam to become IPS, then IAS

In the halls of hallowed glory at Drishti IAS Coaching, there is the story of grit and triumph abounding, inspiring all who hear it. It is about a young Divya Tanwar who dared to shatter barriers to become an IAS officer at 23, earning the admiration of the venerable educator Dr. Vikas Divyakirti and countless more.

She hails from Nimbi village in Haryana's Mahendragarh district. Divya's journey started under humble circumstances, but losing her father at a very young age meant life at home fell on the lap of her mother Babita Tanwar, who did everything possible to ensure that her daughter's education remained uninterrupted.

Divya was always a bright student right from her school days in Navodaya Vidyalaya. She pursued her B.Sc. from Government Women's College, Mahendragarh. After finishing her graduation, she felt that the toughest challenge facing India was UPSC Civil Services Examination.

In 2021, Divya, who was barely 21 years old at the time, made her first attempt and managed to bag an impressive All India Rank of 438, making her one of the youngest IPS officers in the country. However, her aspirations did not stop there. She was determined to fulfill her ultimate goal and appeared for the exam the following year.

She remained unstoppable and hardworking and in 2022 she bagged AIR 105 and thus made her dream come true to become an IAS officer. Presently, Divya is working under the Manipur cadre and epitomizes perseverance and ambition.

Divya Tanwar's journey from a small village to the elite ranks of the Indian Administrative Service is more than a personal triumph. It's a testament to unwavering resolve and a source of inspiration for anyone daring to dream big.
