His remarkable journey from selling vegetables outside an SP office to becoming a DSP on the same premises shows the heights one can achieve with perseverance and dedication.
Nitin Bagate grew up in a family struggling to make ends meet in Maharashtra. To support his family financially, he used to sell vegetables near the SP office in his hometown. Despite the hardships, Nitin never let go of his dream to achieve something meaningful and create a better future for himself and his family.
The Road to Success
Nitin decided to prepare for the prestigious UPSC Civil Services Examination. His journey was anything but easy. He worked tirelessly, putting in years of hard work. Despite reaching the interview stage three times, he was unable to clear the exam. However, Nitin’s failures didn’t deter him. Instead, he used them as lessons to improve and kept pushing forward. Finally, in 2016, his efforts paid off when he cracked the exam and became an IPS officer.

In an interview with Lallantop, Nitin shared his key strategies for success in UPSC. He emphasized three important points:

Understand Society: Develop an understanding of societal issues and how they impact people’s lives.
Discipline and consistency, according to Nitin, are the backbone of success in competitive exams like UPSC.

Today, Nitin serves as DSP at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in Maharashtra, proving that dreams, no matter how big, can come true with perseverance.
