The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 schedule has been announced. CAT 2024 will be conducted on November 24, in three shifts, and registrations for the exam will commence on August 1, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta has announced. On November 24, the computer-based test (CBT) version of the exam will take place. Interested candidates may apply at iimcat.ac.in, the official website. The results are expected to be released in the second week of January 2025.
CAT 2024 will be conducted across around 170 cities. Candidates can select up to five preferred test cities. The list of test cities is subject to change at the discretion of the CAT authorities.
Eligibility Criteria
General Category: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.
SC/ST/PwD Categories: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 45% marks.
Registration fee
SC, ST, and PwD categories: Rs 1,250
All other candidates: Rs 2,500
The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) conducts the Common Admission Test to candidates seeking admission to their Fellow/Doctorate programs and other postgraduate courses. A list of non-IIM member institutions that will accept CAT 2024 scores can be found on the official website. The selection procedure for non-IIM colleges is not conducted by the IIMs.
