Commuters travelling on Namo Bharat trains can now enjoy a 10% discount on every trip when using an NCMC card. The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) announced this initiative on Wednesday as part of its loyalty points program.

Under this program, passengers will earn one loyalty point for every rupee spent on their journey using an NCMC card. Each point is worth Rs 0.10 (10 paise), and the total points will be credited to the commuter’s NCMC account. For example, if a passenger spends Rs 100 on a trip, they will receive 100 points, which equals Rs 10.

These points can be redeemed at the ticket counter at the station, making travel more affordable for frequent commuters. The offer applies to all NCMC cardholders.

Previously, NCRTC introduced a similar discount for tickets purchased through the 'Namo Bharat' mobile app. The loyalty program aims to encourage daily travellers by offering savings on every trip. Regular users will benefit the most, as their accumulated points can be used for future journeys.

To enhance the travel experience, NCRTC is also promoting the Namo Bharat mobile app. New users who download the app will receive Rs 50 (500 loyalty points) as a welcome bonus. Additionally, users can earn another Rs 50 (500 loyalty points) for referring friends to the app. Both the referrer and the new user will get the bonus, credited directly to their accounts.

All loyalty points remain valid for one year from the date of credit, encouraging continued usage of the app and train service.
