Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli shared an encouraging update on his health recently, expressing hope for a quick recovery after being hospitalised. The 1996 World Cup team member revealed he is feeling better and expects to be discharged from Akruti Hospital in Thane within two days.
Kambli, 52, was admitted on Saturday after experiencing a urinary infection and cramps. Further medical examinations revealed brain clots, and his health has since been closely monitored. Speaking emotionally from his hospital bed, Kambli sang the iconic song "We Are the Champions," reiterating his love for cricket and his determination to stay connected to the sport.

"I will never leave cricket," Kambli said. "I remember all my centuries and double centuries. I feel better after three days of treatment and am thankful for the blessings of my childhood friend Sachin Tendulkar and all my well-wishers."
The cricketing community has rallied behind Kambli during this challenging time. Former captains Sunil Gavaskar and Kapil Dev, along with the 1983 World Cup-winning team, have expressed their willingness to support him. Gavaskar remarked, "We want to take care of Vinod Kambli and help him get back on his feet."
Kambli has faced health issues in recent months, with a recent viral video showing his frail appearance alongside Tendulkar at an event honoring their coach, Ramakant Achrekar.
