Tiwary-Gambhir controversy: Manoj Tiwary clarifies his controversial remarks, makes shocking revelations

The issue of a rift between Gautam Gambhir and Manoj Tiwary is gaining momentum. Although Manoj Tiwary is away from cricket today, he has made such a revelation about Gambhir that there is a stir in Indian cricket. Manoj Tiwary revealed that there was a scuffle between the two. Some time ago, Manoj Tiwary had called Gambhir a hypocrite. 

It's worth noting that Manoj Tiwary recently clarified his controversial remarks aimed at Gautam Gambhir, accusing the media of picking specific points from a lengthy interview and twisting his words and intentions. 

The rift between Tiwary and Gambhir reportedly occurred in 2013 during the IPL, when Gambhir was the team captain. Tiwary revealed in an interview with Lallantop, "He (Gambhir) was already agitated because we had a fight earlier. In KKR, I was being pushed down the batting order, and at that time, my place in the Indian team was not secure. Once, I scored 129 runs against Australia and was the top scorer. Even in that match, he got angry. When the innings ended, we had to go fielding. I was applying sunscreen, and suddenly, he flared up. 'What are you doing? Go down quickly.'" 

Tiwary further revealed, "After this incident, I was tense. During a match at Eden Gardens, the innings ended, and I went to the washroom. He came from behind and said, 'Your attitude won't work. I'll do this to you, and I won't let you play.' He was a senior, and I respected him. But this time, I lost my cool." 

Manoj Tiwaiy revealed a heated exchange between him and Gautam Gambhir, stating, "I told Gambhir, 'Gauti bhai, this won't work.' Then Wasim Akram intervened. That day, I restrained myself, or else, it would have led to a physical altercation." 

The incident Tiwary referred to occurred in 2015 during a Ranji Trophy match between Delhi and Bengal. Tiwary recounted that when he took a leg guard, Gambhir, standing in the slips, began hurling abuses at him, including derogatory comments about his mother and sister. Tiwary responded by asking Gambhir why he was using abusive language, to which Gambhir replied, threatening to physically harm him after the match. Tiwary dared Gambhir to confront him immediately, but the situation was eventually diffused by the umpire's intervention.
