First Innings

Batting first, RCB went off to a decent start, which was not so extraordinary because PBKS bowlers kept it tight throughout the innings. After the end of Powerplay, RCB were 55/1 after losing Phil Salt early. On one side, Virat Kohli kept the run board ringing, and on the other side, wickets kept falling regularly. When Kohli was near his 50, he was also dismissed just before completing his 50. In the end, RCB posted 190/9 in 20 overs with the help of Liam Livingstone and Jitesh Sharma.

Second Innings

Chasing 191, Punjab Kings also went off to a decent start and lost the wicket of Priyansh Arya in the Powerplay. It wasn't even a good day for skipper Shreyas Iyer also went back to the dressing room cheaply. The roof of the Narendra Modi Stadium blew off when Romario Shepherd dismissed Shreyas Iyer at 1. Following Iyer's dismissal, wickets kept falling, and no partnership could be built that could take the Punjab side to the finish line. In the end, RCB won the game
