CRICKET
Bumrah was present at Coldplay's final concert in India on Republic Day. During the event, Coldplay's lead singer Chris Martin even performed an impromptu song for the Indian pace sensation.
Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah made a surprise guest appearance at Coldplay's recent concert at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday. To the excitement of the crowd, Chris Martin, the lead singer of the British rock band, quickly wrote a song dedicated to the skilled bowler just moments after meeting him.
As he interacted with his fans, the camera panned towards Bumrah, who was all smiles during the concert. Chris then surprised the Indian ace pacer by singing an impromptu song dedicated to him.
"O Jasprit Bumrah, my beautiful brother. The best bowler in the whole of cricket. We did not enjoy watching you destroy England, wicket after wicket," Chris sang on stage B.

This isn't the first time Coldplay has honored the incredible bowler Jasprit Bumrah. Chris Martin has previously mentioned Bumrah during a concert in Mumbai in a truly unexpected way.
While performing ‘A Sky Full of Stars’, Chris Martin abruptly paused and said: “Wait a minute, we need to wrap up the show because Jasprit Bumrah wants to come and play backstage."
He then expressed his gratitude to the audience and added, "He (Bumrah) says he needs to bowl at me now."
Coldplay's tribute to Jasprit Bumrah goes beyond just words. Chris Martin even shared a clip of Bumrah's legendary yorker that took out England's Ollie Pope during the Test series in India in 2024.
“This made me smile! Incredible vibe at the @coldplay concert in Mumbai (from what I’ve seen here) and even more special to be mentioned,” Jasprit Bumrah had written on X (formerly Twitter).
Coldplay's 2025 concert signifies the British band's long-awaited return to India after a nine-year break. They kicked off the India leg of their ‘Music of the Spheres’ tour at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. The final performance took place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, January 26.
