IND vs ENG 2nd T20I: England announce playing XI for Chennai T20I, make one change

England has revealed their playing XI for the second T20I match against India, which is scheduled for Saturday at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The team has made one adjustment to their lineup, bringing in Brydon Carse to replace Gus Atkinson. Additionally, Jamie Smith has been included in the 12-member squad.

Atkinson struggled in the series opener, giving away 38 runs in just two overs as India easily chased down the target.

India currently leads the five-match series 1-0 after a convincing 7-wicket win at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

In the first match, England was bowled out for 132 runs, with captain Jos Buttler being the top scorer at 68 runs. The Indian bowlers maintained pressure throughout, limiting the English batsmen. Besides Buttler, only Harry Brook (17) and Jofra Archer (12) managed to score in double figures.

Varun Chakravarthy was the standout bowler for India, claiming three wickets for 23 runs in his four overs. Arshdeep Singh, Hardik Pandya, and Axar Patel also chipped in with two wickets each.

In reply, India's Abhishek Sharma delivered an outstanding performance, scoring 79 runs off just 34 balls. Jofra Archer and Adil Rashid took wickets for England.

England will be looking to bounce back and level the series in the upcoming match.
