IND vs AUS: Jasprit Bumrah leaves SCG in training kit amid injury scare, Virat Kohli takes over as captain

Jasprit Bumrah departed from the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) accompanied by India's team doctor during the second session of the day's play against Australia on Saturday. Despite India's stand-in captain briefly taking the field after lunch, he was forced to leave after bowling just one over. It was Virat Kohli who then assumed the role of leading the team on the field.

Fans were thrilled to witness Kohli taking charge of the game. With the opportunity to apply pressure on the hosts Kohli displayed enthusiasm right from the beginning of the day. He was seen motivating the entire team from the slip cordon, which ultimately led to India taking three crucial wickets in the session. 

One thing that India absolutely dreads is an injury to Bumrah. He has been the only consistent performer for the visitors throughout the series.

In the fifth and final test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy at Sydney, the Indian team was dismissed for 185 runs against Australia on the opening day. The collapse of the Indian lower order was triggered by Rishabh Pant's dismissal. Jasprit Bumrah contributed with a quick knock of 22 while Jadeja was dismissed for 26. Scott Boland stood out as the top bowler for Australia claiming four wickets.
