'Has ke baat nahi karna': Virat Kohli’s fiery instruction to Mohammed Siraj after pacer's friendly chat with Labuschagne

Virat Kohli's intense and aggressive demeanor was on full display during the opening day of the Boxing Day Test against Australia. In the first session of the day, Kohli found himself in a physical altercation with debutant teenager Sam Konstas, who played a bold 60-run innings after Australia chose to bat first. As Kohli and Konstas crossed paths, their shoulders collided, leading to a heated on-field argument that was eventually diffused by Usman Khawaja and the umpires.

The drama did not stop there. While India was up against a determined Australian batting lineup, Kohli was captured on the stump microphones giving firm instructions to his teammate, Mohammed Siraj. When Siraj engaged in a verbal exchange with Australian batsman Marnus Labuschagne on the field, Kohli wasted no time in expressing his disapproval.

"Has ke baat nahi karna inse (Don’t smile while talking to them)," Kohli instructed Siraj.

Australia dominated the day's play, with debutant Sam Konstas delivering an explosive performance that set the stage for the hosts. Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, and Steve Smith also showcased their skills by scoring half-centuries, contributing to Australia's total of 311/6 by the end of the day.

Jasprit Bumrah led a late fightback for India, taking crucial wickets to dismiss Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh cheaply. Alex Carey played a pivotal role in helping Australia surpass the 300-run mark before being dismissed by Akash Deep.
