After a 12-year hiatus, Virat Kohli is making his comeback to the Ranji Trophy. In Delhi's upcoming match against Railways, Kohli, who had a challenging BGT is anticipated to make a strong return to form.
After a 12-year hiatus, the legendary former captain of the Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli, is about to make his eagerly awaited comeback to the Ranji Trophy. At the historic Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, the talented right-handed batter will represent Delhi in their next game against Railways. According to initial reports, fans will not be able to watch Kohli's comeback on television or streaming sites because the match would not be shown live. However, there has been a major alteration to the broadcast plans by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
As more than 10,000 spectators are anticipated to assemble at the stadium to watch Virat Kohli's comeback to domestic cricket, excitement is growing. For the eager fans, the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) has graciously offered complimentary seats.
The BCCI decided to make the move so that fans could witness Virat Kohli's Ranji Trophy comeback, and the Delhi vs. Railways match would now be accessible on JioCinema.
More information is anticipated by today, January 29, even though it is still uncertain whether the contest will be shown live.
"A decision has been taken and JioCinema will livestream the game. So all the Virat Kohli fans who are not in Delhi, need not worry. They can watch their favorite player live," a BCCI official told PTI.
In the Ranji Trophy tournament, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) selects one key match to be broadcast on television and a streaming app. The much-anticipated game for the upcoming round, starting on January 30, features Karnataka going up against Haryana, with a special focus on the talented KL Rahul.
Originally, the matches between Punjab and Bengal at the historic Eden Gardens, along with Baroda and Jammu and Kashmir in Baroda, were set to be streamed live only. However, plans changed with the surprise appearance of cricket superstar Virat Kohli in the Delhi versus Railways match.
Kohli, who last participated in the Ranji Trophy back in 2012, recently joined the Delhi team for training at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. During his practice, he demonstrated his skills by facing both pacers and left-arm spinners, concentrating on backfoot shots. It's important to note that left-arm spinners have been a challenge for him in recent months.
After a disappointing tour of Australia, where he managed only 190 runs in 9 innings despite scoring a century in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy opener in Perth, Kohli is eager to make a strong comeback in the Ranji Trophy. His commitment and hard work during training sessions reflect his determination to enhance his performance on the field.
