Arjun Tendulkar showcased his talent for Goa in their opening match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, taking 3 wickets against Odisha. The left-arm pacer delivered an impressive performance, bowling a spell of 10-0-61-3 in a high-scoring contest. 

Arjun claimed his first wicket in the 41st over by dismissing Abhishek Raut for 7, followed by the key wicket of Kartik Biswali (49 off 52) in the next over. He then bowled Rajesh Mohanty for 6 to secure his third wicket of the day. Thanks to Arjun's three-wicket haul, Goa successfully bowled out Odisha for 344, securing a 27-run victory. Despite facing challenges in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Arjun was able to make a significant impact in this match.

In the Goa-Odisha encounter, the Darshan Misal-led team posted a formidable total of 371 after being asked to bat first. Ishan Gadekar led the scoring for Goa with a brilliant knock of 93 off 96 balls, while Suyash Prabhudessai provided a strong finish with an unbeaten 74 off just 22 balls.

Odisha made a strong start in their chase, with their openers putting on 107 runs for the first wicket. However, Goa turned the tide after the dismissal of Gourav Choudhury, consistently taking wickets to secure the win. Goa will now face Haryana in their upcoming league stage match on Monday, December 23.

Looking ahead, Arjun Tendulkar is set to represent Mumbai Indians (MI) once again in the IPL. The talented left-arm pacer rejoined the five-time IPL Champions in the IPL 2025 mega-auction after going unsold in the accelerated round. MI secured Arjun's services in the final moments of the auction at his base price of Rs 30 lakh.
