Arjun Tendulkar's BIG career milestone in Vijay Hazare Trophy would make Sachin Tendulkar proud

Arjun Tendulkar, the son of Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, is currently showcasing his skills for Goa in the prestigious Vijay Hazare Trophy. The left-arm pacer recently made a remarkable comeback in Goa's playing XI, impressively taking 3 wickets against Odisha. However, he faced a wicketless outing in Goa's second game against Haryana. Arjun, who is also a part of the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the IPL, has reached a significant milestone in his senior cricket career.

During the match against Odisha, Arjun achieved the milestone of 50 wickets in white-ball cricket. Making his T20 debut for Mumbai in 2021, Arjun has now accumulated 51 wickets in 41 white-ball matches. Additionally, the left-arm pacer has dismissed 24 batters in 17 List A matches and has 27 scalps in 24 T20s.

Having been re-signed by the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the IPL 2025 mega-auction, Arjun has showcased his talent with one four-wicket haul in each format. He initially represented Mumbai in junior cricket before earning a spot in the India U19 team. In the 2020/21 season, Arjun transitioned to senior cricket, representing Mumbai with great skill and determination.

Prior to the 2022/23 season, the talented bowling all-rounder relocated to Goa, where he made his debut in both first-class and List A cricket for the state team. Arjun began his red-ball career in impressive fashion, scoring a century in his debut match.

In his 17 first-class matches, Arjun has taken 37 wickets and scored 532 runs. He has also achieved a five-wicket haul in the prestigious Ranji Trophy. In comparison, the legendary Sachin Tendulkar claimed 71 wickets in 310 first-class matches but never managed to take a five-wicket haul in this format.

Despite this, Sachin did achieve two five-wicket hauls in One Day Internationals (ODIs). He concluded his limited-overs career with an impressive record of 201 wickets in List A cricket and 2 wickets in T20 matches.

Arjun has been confirmed as a member of the Mumbai Indians (MI) for the fifth consecutive season. Despite being released by the five-time IPL Champions prior to the IPL 2025 mega-auction, he was swiftly re-signed during the final moments of the two-day event.
